He received rigorous training in Kathak from Legendary Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj and Vidhushi Saswati Sen and received intensive training in Odissi under Legendary Padma Vibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra and Nrutyasri Monalisa Ghosh. Shri Kundan Mukherjee has shown his talents in prestigious festivals and conferences in India and abroad including Dover Lane Music Conference and Kalakshetra dance festival in India, and in multiple prestigious events in the United Arab Emirates, most notably the inauguration day of the Indian Pavilion, in the Expo 2020, Dubai. He has trained numerous students in the past 16 years across UAE and choreographed numerous successful presentations. He affiliated Rasamanjuri FZE as a recognized Examination centre, so that the students appear for yearly examination and receive certificates. To add a feather to his cap, he was invited by Korzo Theater Netherlands in late 2013, and once again in late 2015, at Korzo Dance Festival where stalwarts from all over the world participated. He has received multiple awards, including the Nrityasaraswati Award from Surnandan Bharati in 2019, and the Rashratna Samman (Bharat Sanskriti Yatra Samman 2019), from the Hindustan Art and Music Society, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is a very successful and experienced choreographer and has contributed towards cultural and social events across India, UAE and various countries of Europe like Germany, Belgium, France, Holland etc.
